Mercu · Blood Pressure Diary
Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026
Mercu is a diary for the blood pressure readings you take with your own cuff. This policy explains what the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your readings stay on your iPhone.
Readings you type in
Systolic and diastolic pressure, pulse, the time and time zone of a reading, the arm and position, the context tags you choose and the name you may add to a report are stored only in the app's own storage on your device. Mercu has no account, no server of its own and no cloud sync. We cannot see your readings.
Apple Health
If you turn it on, Mercu reads blood pressure and heart rate samples from Apple Health to add them to your diary. Mercu never writes to Apple Health. Health data is not used for advertising, is not sold and is never sent off your device by Mercu.
Reports and exports
The PDF report and CSV export are created on your iPhone. They leave the device only when you share them yourself, for example by Mail or AirDrop, to recipients you choose.
Reminders
Morning and evening reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push server is involved.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. To check whether your subscription is active and to show prices, Mercu uses Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.), which receives an anonymous app-generated identifier, your device model, OS version, country/storefront and purchase receipts. Adapty does not receive your readings or Health data. See adapty.io/privacy.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No analytics of your health data.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
Deleting your data
Delete a reading by swiping it in Records. Deleting the app removes every reading stored by Mercu. Readings that came from Apple Health remain in Apple Health.
Children
Mercu is not directed to children under 13.
